1/144 88mm Flak Zugkraftwagen (FAMO)

The October 2010 Release by Panzer Depot: The German 88mm Flak 37 auf ZgKw 18t
or under its official titile "8.8cm Flak 37 Selbstfahrlafette auf 18 ton Zugkraftwagen", based upon a FAMO SDKFZ 9 with added armour and 88mm AA Gun.

Generally a nice looking rendition, some minor faults, and the 88mm looks slightly out of proportion as the photos give the appearance of a more slender barrel.

It would appear to be another triumph of (brute) syle over function, as only a small number were produced and all were issued to a single unit in Italy

More info: Kfz de Wehrmacht

Available: now
Options: in two styles, and two colour schemes.
Cost: Yellow/Dunkelgelb $18.80 or Camo $19.90

1/144 WWII Diorama(s) - Cysior

I think you will agree, some very well made created by cysior on the modelwork.pl forum

Always interesting I think to see how people compose their scenes, choose which items, and how they contruct the scenics to form a diorama. Also, not forgetting the use of the camera...

It appears to be a lot of can.do armour, with CGD, and railway scenics.

There are many more images on the galleries here:

Thanks to Thomas.

1/144 T-4 from Doyusha (Again!!!)

So, is the T-4 the new Zero?

This year from Doyusha we have had
1) Blue Impulse T-4 (Regular 2010) Modern Fighter Collection N.13
2) Blue Impulse T-4 (50th Year JASDF) Modern Fighter Collection No.15

and now plans for....
Modern Fighter Collection No.16 (F-15J, F-4E Kai, T-4)
Modern Fighter Collection No.17 ( F-2 A/B)

Is it me or is there alarming repetition?
Taking into account the Algernon J-Wings 5 , GigaPro T-4, & F-Toys (F-2), Series there are alot of these types + F/A-18 around.

1/144 Canadair CT-114 'Tutor' - Miniwing

1/144 Canadair CT-114 'Tutor'
Miniwing have released a new kit in the form of a trainer. Its a fairly straight forward without to many parts and not too much tricky pieces either. A quick dry-fit test showed a nice fit with good clean lines, with the well defined panel lines and control surfaces in keeping with the 1/144 style (see HD Images below).

For those of you who like Canadian Aircraft, or Acrobatic Schemes, this aircraft should just what your looking for. CanMilAir even has a range of 12x addtional RCAF decals, 3x of which are Acrobatic Teams

1/144 Bachem Ba-349A "Natter" by Foxone

Another fantastic kit in the wings from Foxone. A last gasp defence Rocket Plane with a nasty sting, designed as a 'point defence' to counter the allied bombing of strategic targets such as cities and factories. Many respect just a form on manned Surface to Air Missile to disrupt the Allied bomber wings. Like many German 'Super' weapon, a dismal failure.

This kit like many of the Foxone kits should be a highly detailed and interesting build and comes with a launch tower.

Whilst, not an official V-weapon, it will of course grace many collections that feature unusual German curiosities!

1/144 Project 865 Piranha - by Mikro-Mir

A new Ukrainian company producing a short run series of injection kit, in the same manner as A-Model.

So far there is only 1/144 kit and that is this unusual Russian Prototype Submarine Project 865 Piranha Nato Reporting name "Losos"

It would be fair to say this is no revell kit, but it is an interesting subject matter and one I'd hazard a guess at that you would be hard pressed to see it again soo from the big manufacturers.

Price: 300-400 roubles which is roughly 10USD which inst too bad.
Available: Now (http://mikro-mir.at.ua/index/0-5)

1/144 "Velikie Pobedi" (Great Glory's) Kits

In August I featured a new Russian based magazine and kit series (here), since then I have received further information on the magazine : "Velikie Pobedi" (Great Glory's) It would appear to come with 1/72 figures and 1/144 Aircrat and 1/144 Tanks. Via the Tancist website there are more images and comparisons available.

Items features are T-34, IL-2 and a JU-87 and are accompanied by a Magazine

As stated, and as you can see the kits cover the main subjects of the 'Great Patriotic War' and therefore the target audience should relate to them with ease. The Tank kits dont look too bad, although the Ju-87 is a bit basic in some areas and doest not stack up against the the still imperious original cando or the recent issues this year.

Thamks to Etendard for providing me with the links

1/144 Westland Lysander by Foxone (update)

1/144 Lysander by Foxone (update)

Foxone continues to work on the design for the lysander, continuing the series of smaller Laison and Support aircraft that are overlooked or not sexy enough for mass market producers!

ok,ok..... I like the progress on this kit, also experimenting with the Animated gif function!

Picking up where few other 1/144 producers outside of Japan venture, the Panzer Depot release for September 2010 is the Semovente 75/18 SPG as used by Italian forces (egio Esercito).

Designed as the Italian answer to the German STuG, apparently quite effective against a range of Allied Armour. Deployed alongside the alongside the Carra Amato M13/40 (also available from Panzerdepot) against Allied forces in North Africa and Sicily.
