1/144 Cafe REo Poll Vote - RESULTS!! . I decided to run a poll to see what product are desired by people in the next CafeREo Big Bird Series: The results of the 1st 100 votes are above! . The Poll continues here: http://poll.pollcode.com/v6H_result
You pretend make contact with Cafereo staff? If at least 2 itens of this list get in to the production ..the poll and this site effort will be proved..
I don´t believe they will respond... Now we seat..and wait if the Big bird 3 come out with at least one or 2 of this list... we give a sample of what the market wants..
Looking at what CafeReo have produced thusfar (B-24, He 111, P-61, Mitsubishi G3M Nell and G4M Betty) suggests that any future Big Bird series will also comprise aircraft that saw considerable service during WW2. If that's the case, you can rule out the Me 264, Ju 390 and Ar E555. Our best bet with those three is a resin kit from Unicraft or Anigrand.
The Lanc, B-17, Wellington, SM79 and Fw200 are all chances. As the first two are available as plastic kits (e.g. Minicraft, Crown) and diecasts (Corgi, Dragon), I'd be happy with any of the remaining three.
Personally, I'd love to see my favourite, the He 177 Greif, in the mix. It was one of my faves when I had the old Airfix kit in 1/72 scale as a teenager, and time hasn't changed my view.
The G8N Renzan seems a fair bet if CafeReo go for a 4-engined bomber. Of the larger Japanese twin-engined aircraft, I'd say the Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu (Peggy) is a likely starter.
I wouldn't mind an SM79 or one of its successors, like the SM81 or SM84. Regia Aeronautica aircraft always provide some colourful camouflage schemes. And, to date, we only have the MC200 (Sweet), MC202/205 (F-Toys) and Fiat G50bis (Creations Chaubet/white metal) as Italian representatives. The FE-Resin kit of the latter has been cancelled according to the company website.
G8N Rita was 4 engined..but B-24 had 4 too and was released in Big birds 1 Peggy have a old Imai/hasegawa kit, as well the sally,betty,helen,ginga,nick,toryu,gekko...and they are being re-released In camo aspect..he-177 is more beatifull than Fw-200..and Sm-79 are hard to beat...but Rita is a looser... to bad we lost Popy project Flieger ..the Ar555 was a strong candidate

So we could have the He-177(or Fw-200),a Sm-79 and a always presence of a japanese item since the release is in Japanese market( maybe the G8n Rita?)
