1st pics? This has been in production for over a decade????
Is definitely a re -release , I bought this kit in 1997 ish .I hope Aeroclub will re-release the 2 x 1/144 Neptune kits they did back in the late nineties , I have one of each but that is just not enough :-)
i think there are one or two who would like to see the Neptune released again!
i see now that it has bee a product available for over a decade?that all said and don, apart from the single photo on the air alex site, show me where this kit has been features as a kit or finished item?????
Go to:http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shire/3680/144/raaf144.htmAnd check under "Series 2". Box pic has been up since at least 2003. :-)
You can also see a progress shot on a Neptune build and if you jump over to the Navy section a built Skyhawk too.
The site referred to by anonymous is Bruce Scott's collection of RAAF/RAN/Australian Army aircraft in 1/144 scale. These Aero kits pop up occasionally on evilBay - I recall a Skyhawk up for auction within the last couple of months.
Monochrome (Trumpeter satellite company) also re-issued the Neptune kit maybe a year or two ago when they came out with their F-86 Sabre sets. I've never looked at the parts layout for that one so I couldn't tell you if it was a direct copy of the Aeroclub kit or a new mold.http://freightdogproductions.com/monochrome.html
