Anigrand to the rescue, for those who love Luft46! My hats off to them for continuing their excellent run of kits. They really have a talented bunch working there and their love for the 1/144 scale truly shows in what they put out.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I don't think that's a FW189. The wing sure looks like a 189, but where's the rear crew compartment? Also, the front cabin looks like a tiny nub in the secret picture, but it would have been much fatter in the real thing. Maybe a variant? Whatever it is, I'm in line for it already!
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteIt is a Fw-189 but the armoured single seat ground attack variant that flew but not put in production (very poor visability).
I have just finished making the mold for my own Fw-189 and will be VERY interested to see how it compares!!
Yes Peter, you're right. Just found a picture of one. By the way, it's the 189c variant.

The proposed Fw198C was a direct spinoff the V-6 prototype.
ReplyDeletePeter, it will make a good comparison with your Fw189A (you were doing an "A", weren't you?), as both share identical wings and power plants with those odd little Arado-style spinners.
Anigrand are certainly original in their choice of subjects and are becoming more prolific with each passing day. I recall the long wait after they released the Daimler Projekt B until the Myasishchev M-50 Bounder was released. Now it seems that the releases are coming every month or two.
Just wish they release the "little guys" separately, though - $AUS100+ attracts way too much attention from the Other Half! ;-)
