Appears to be F-15 in Japanese Service, kit for as were the FAOW:WOTL
The kit form should allow for some easy remodelling?
Looks to be 4 or 5 items in the series

More aircraft and Jap F-15 to be sure! Please Takara give us some sdkfz 13/231/236/222 or maybe kfz 69/70!!!! Anything please (even Jap or Italian tanks) but no Tigers!
ReplyDeleteGreat site. Keep it up been visiting for a long time!
This is a 4 kit set of the F-15J / DJ Takaratomy unveiled as "Gimix" a few months ago. Basically, these are the same as the Midnight Eagle F-15 kits, but they're not assembled. They are however, painted beautifully in Japanese Agressor schemes. The detail on these kits is absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteThere should be at least another 4 set of these, since I counted up to 18 different paint schemes in the pictures they displayed. This first set has a new scheme previously not seen, so there will be more coming.
They're priced at 2000yen per aircraft, even though they originalled announced they'd be under 1500yen. I guess they noticed the price increases by Sweet & Platz and follwed in line. Come to think of it, even Revell has raised the price of their kits. These will be out in May and will probably sell out just as fast as the Midnight Eagle series did.
ok, i remember the built ones from the tokyo game show or shizuoka ?
ReplyDeleteWow! Good to hear the Takara folks are still around with their 1/144 planes. Now there's a chance the Wings of the Luftwaffe series will be continued and we'll see more BF 109s, FW 190 Antons and Doras!!! (sarcasm off) Seriously though, I'm glad to hear Takara's back in their game with their 1/144 military vehicles, unlike Bandai's Wing Club series which seems to have just disappeared into thin air! While the F-Toys versions are decent substitutes, they're mostly IJAAF and IJN planes which makes a the Hawker Typhoons the red-headed step children of the series. The Early Jets look awful from the pictures, so I'm not really that fond of them.
ReplyDeleteSo Takara, how about leveling the playing field by releasing Wings of the RAF, USAAF, VVS, IJN/IJAAF and ANR?
