1/144 resin Hawker "SEA FURY" FB.11 by Miniwings (Pt.2)
=============================================
.
I received my Kit this morning, I think these photos should help a lot of people out.
There were concerns about the profile of the fuselage, I have taken a HD photo and hopefully you can decide?
.
also, I am being a bit slow, why the strange wing configuration? - So you can make a naval version without sawing eh wing in half! This makes it easier to build a shipborne configuration!
.
I still think it is a nice looking kit and will look great as part of the ever growing collection of British aircraft coming on to the market.
Available: Now! February 2009

Whoever just bought this kit on evilBay must reckon it has the right shape. You don't pay nigh on 50 US dollars if you are going to end up revamping the basic profile.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the situation, Radek has nice crisp castings. Wouldn't mind getting hold of the Do18, either!
Whoever just bought this on ebay must not know that he can buy it for $21.50 directly from Radek! There are plenty of these in stock considering it just hit the shleves a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteI saw a single Cafereo F-4E Thunderbird sell for $250 this past weekend. That's just insane. A 10 pack of these sold for $50 just a few years ago. And given F-Toys' recent releases, the F-4 Thunderbird is probably going to be out in their next modern jet/USAF/Acroteam series, at a mere $4 a kit!
Back on topic though, this is defintely another beautifully cast kit by Radek, and worth the purchase. The next few releases are also a very nice selection and will set me back a few dollars!
its the old "ebay must be bargain" - show the vale of doing your research!
ReplyDeleteplus, sadly there are some folks out there still who wont by from foreigners! - still, small minds like that can be rich pickings on ebay!
Doesn't look right to me. Still the best kit out there, but I don't think I'll plunk down that much dosh for a small prop kit that doesn't capture the subject :-(
ReplyDeletestrange wind config so you can capture the dihedral of the outer panel I guess. Would also help if you wanted to do a folder.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's no slope from the front of the canopy down to the cowling, and the canopy is way too big. It's a bit hard to tell, but it looks like the canopy is too far forward too.
