The Aero L-159 ALCA[nb 1] is a light subsonic attack jet and advanced trainer developed in the single-seat L-159A and two-seat L-159B versions respectively, produced in the Czech Republic by Aero Vodochody. In 2003, the Czech Air Force elected to reduce its own fleet of 72 L-159A aircraft to 24 and has re-sold most of the redundant aircraft to both military and civilian operators, namely the Iraqi Air Force and Draken International.

The L-159 has seen active combat use by the Iraqi Air Force against ISIS. In Draken’s service, the L-159 (colloquially known as "Honey Badger") has been employed as an aggressor aircraft.[4] Since 2007, six L-159A aircraft have been rebuilt into T1 trainer derivatives. In 2017, Aero Vodochody unveiled a newly built L-159T1 for the Iraqi Air Force while the Czech Air Force is set to acquire L-159T2 (L-159T1+) two-seaters

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-15; NATO reporting name: "Fagot") is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich OKB for the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful swept-wing jet fighters, and achieved fame in the skies over Korea, where, early in the war, it outclassed all straight-winged enemy fighters in most applications.

Later, the MiG-15 would also serve as a starting point for the development of the more advanced MiG-17. The MiG-15 is believed to have been one of the most widely produced jet aircraft ever made; in excess of 12,000 were manufactured. Licensed foreign production may have raised the production total to over 18,000. The MiG-15 is often mentioned, along with the North American F-86 Sabre, as the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War, and among the best fighter aircraft of all time.

MiG-29A 7702 (s/n 2960526377) was one of 20 MiG-29s delivered to the Czechoslovakia between 1989 a 1990 (18 MiG-29A, 2 MiG-29UB). The aircraft was assigned to the 1st Squadron of the 11th Air Fighter Regiment (later also called the "Tiger Squadron") at Žatec AFB.

Strike Fighter Squadron 125, the "Rough Raiders", was United States Navy Fleet Replacement Squadron based at NAS Lemoore, California. Established on 13 November 1980, the squadron became the first US Navy squadron flying the newly commissioned F/A-18 Hornet. Rough Raiders trained F/A-18 pilots for both the Navy and Marine Corps (hence the Navy sign on one side of their aircraft and Marines on the other side).
