Avia S-199 ‘Erla Canopy’

Two injection-moulded kits are supplied in this box and each kit contains 28 parts and one clear part (the cockpit canopy). The rear side of the box now comprises the representation of a tarmac section of a military airfield which can be cut out and used as a display base for the assembled model. A comprehensive instruction leaflet and a decal sheet are included.

D: S-199, White D-123 (c/n unknown), No.101 Sq. (101 Tayeset), Israeli Air Force (Kheil HaʼAvir), Qastina Air Base, Israel, October – December 1948

NOTE: these kits were re-designed and new masters were made. The cockpit canopies were 3D designed and made by injection moulding into a metal mould.

The current product range 1/144 aircraft is fairly skewed towards Czech service, but there’s plenty of interesting stuff there:

- Zlin XII - a prewar touring aircraft
- Nieuport 17, 21 and 23 - in Czech and Russian service.
- Heinkel 111 Jumo Testbed
- Heinkel 111 + HS293
- Polikarpov Po-2

Some of their kits are entirely own design (the Zlin and Avias) but others adapt or enhance existing donor kits 

- the two Nieuports use Valom kits plastic and etch for instance, with Vizi producing a 3D printed engine and cowling to build a later variant. 
- the Heinkel 111 use Roden kits with a resin 3D printed upgrade
- the Polikarpov use Zvezda kits with a resin 3D printed upgrade
