1/144 IJA O-I 100 Ton Tank - Matuo Kasten

1/144 IJA O-I 100 Ton Tank - Matuo Kasten
The O-I was a planned 100 - 130t tank with a range of speculated armaments planned for the IJA, like many "mega tanks" it did not progress as its practically was doubtful. Sources agree on a main 105mm gun and then vary for 47mm & 37mm secondary  armaments  and various tertiary 7mm weapons.

Matuo Kasten looks to be planning to produce this in 1/144  (see here )

1/144 Landkreuzer P1500 'Monster' - Matuo Kasten

1/144 Landkreuzer P1500 'Monster' - Matuo Kasten
There are a number of variants of the hypothetical designs for a P1500 weapon, Matuo Kasten has gone for a slightly different approach of having what appears to be a "Dora" transported on a pair of "Ratte's". This is not so far off the mark (if such a comment can be sensible placed whilst discussing such a crazy idea), as there was similar talk of mounting a "K5" Leopold between to (King) Tigers? Therefore scaling this up in a logical fashion gets you to the proposal shown above.

As Matuo Kasten has previously produced two versions of the RATTE, I think we can safely assume that this will get produced. The questions is do you have a budget and a shelf big enough to hold it!

1/144 8.8cm Flak auf Sonderfahrgestell - Matuo Kasten

1/144 8.8cm Flak auf Sonderfahrgestell - Matuo Kasten

its been a while since I posted an item coming out of the Matuo Kasten workshops, but here is an impressive item to add to your array of Whermacht Flak Panzers!

One of 3 prototypes based upon a heavily modified Pz.IV chassis to help counter the threat of Allied air power as early as 1942! However despite support for the Luftwaffe, the various issues and failings encountered in trails lead to the project was abandoned in 1944.

The kits is nicely details and doesnt contain to many onerous parts or micro detailing, so it should go together quite nicely.

The vehicle is featured in on the Achtung Panzer Grille Series page, and Panzer Tracts No. 12-1 - Flakpanzerkampfwagen IV and other Flakpanzer projects development and production from 1942 to 1945
It must be noted that Matuo Kasten has also the larger 17cm Grille on the web site and other Flak Panzers!

1/144 V-2 Launch Set - Matsuo Kasten

A nice set of kits from MatK and again, some control and discipline will be required with this kit! It is not one that you will finish in an evening and there are some delicates peices involved and the Meillerwagen (transporter trailer & Service tower) and Abschussplatform(Firing Table) will need particular care. It is however in line with many of the Garage kits you see so there should be no surprises here!

The total set of kit supplied are as follows
:
- Meillerwagen Transporter Trailer
- Abschussplatform (launch pad)
- The Feuerleitpanzer (Launch Control Vehicle)
- Hanomag SS-100 TRACTOR
- B-Stoff tanker (Opel)
- T-Stoff tanker (opel)
- A-Stoff Trailer
- V-2 Rocket

Possibly, the best source of V-2 Information on the web?

1/144 Henshel Hs. P.87 - Matsuo Kasten

1/144 Henshel Hs. P.87 - Matsuo Kasten
=============================

We have featured this item before, but as I have now got my hands on a copy I thought I would revist this item.
.
It is a nice resin garage kit that will take some skill to complete (dont come thinking Revell or Anigrand), but is in pretty good shape will make a nice item when complete.
.
It comes with nice decals and a good instruction sheet with actual photos of the model!
.
Panel line are always a subject that divides people, the panel lines on this kit are not too deep or canyon like, so that will please some, others may wish to sharpen the panel lines up to their taste.
.
The double blade set will be a little tricky as ever on a kit this scale
