1/144 Supermarine ATTACKER F.1 - Miniwings

1/144 Supermarine ATTACKER F.1 - Miniwings

The Supermarine Attacker was a British single-seat naval jet fighter built by Supermarine for the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm (FAA). The type has the distinction of being the first jet fighter to enter operational service with the FAA. Like most other first-generation jet fighter, it has a short service life due to the rapid development of increasingly advanced aircraft during the 1950s and 1960s.

he Attacker developed from a Royal Air Force (RAF) fighter jet project, under Air Ministry Specification E.10 of 1944 (the E for experimental). The design of the Attacker used the laminar flow straight-wings of the Supermarine Spiteful, a piston-engined fighter intended to replace the Supermarine Spitfire, and what became the Attacker was originally referred to as the "Jet Spiteful".

The project was intended to provide an interim fighter for the RAF while another aircraft, the Gloster E.1/44 also using the Nene was developed. An order for three prototypes was placed on 30 August 1944,the second and third of which were to be navalised. An order for a further 24 pre-production aircraft, six for the RAF and the remaining 18 for the Fleet Air Arm was placed on 7 July 1945.

1 vacu canopy for expected modellers

1/144 North American T-6G Texan (Double Set) by Valom

1/144  North American T-6G Texan (Double Set) by Valom

A new 1/144 double set from Valom, this time you get two shiney new kits of the T-G Texan and decals for 4x versions from France,Germany, Israel and the USA.

The mold is based on the same master pattern as Miniwing's old resin Texan, so this should provide a cheaper alternative to the original resin kit and contributes to it straightforward no nonsense approach. the exterior is clean and well defined. The decals are professionally printed and have good colour and should go on easy enough. The interior would benefit from some additional detailing, but this is a small aircraft, so once everything is in place and painted up, especially the canopy - it may be less of an issues.

Fairchild AC-119K Stinger – heavy American ground support plane, developed from the C-119 transport in the late 1960s by the Fairchild Hiller company. Thanks to powerful weapons and modern technology for finding ground targets fitted to the mid-fuselage, the AC-119K was a very effective weapon in the fight against the enemy on the ground. Aircraft of this type were used extensively during the war in Vietnam and Laos. Overall 26 machines of this type were built, which were used until the end of military operations in the Vietnam campaign.

1/144 Mikoyan MiG-15/UTI DUAL COMBO (Czech Scheme) - Eduard

1/144 Mikoyan MiG-15/UTI DUAL COMBO (Czech Scheme) - Eduard
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-15; NATO reporting name: "Fagot") is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich OKB for the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful swept-wing jet fighters, and achieved fame in the skies over Korea, where, early in the war, it outclassed all straight-winged enemy fighters in most applications.

Later, the MiG-15 would also serve as a starting point for the development of the more advanced MiG-17. The MiG-15 is believed to have been one of the most widely produced jet aircraft ever made; in excess of 12,000 were manufactured. Licensed foreign production may have raised the production total to over 18,000. The MiG-15 is often mentioned, along with the North American F-86 Sabre, as the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War, and among the best fighter aircraft of all time.
