A nice little injected plastic key of a classic british trainer, up to the usual sminiwings standards. You will note some of the fine details on this release - of particular note is the quality of the canopy and how thin the glazing is for such a small piece in this scale!

During the 1950s, the Provost was developed for the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a replacement for the Percival Prentice. The Provost was an all-metal, single-engined, two-seat monoplane, featuring fixed conventional landing gear with a fully-castering tailwheel. It was developed to provide training that was better-suited to the increasingly-complicated operational aircraft that were then being brought into service. The main two seats in the cockpit were positioned in a side-by-side configuration, enabling the instructor to sit directly alongside the student, easing training by allowing for mutual close observation and for flight procedures to be more readily demonstrated; a third seat had been originally specified for use by an observer, but this position was later omitted following little use.[6] The cockpit was considered to be relatively bulky amongst its contemporary rivals, a feature that did not heavily impinge upon the aircraft's overall performance.[3] The type was designed to be easy to maintain; various components were intentionally interchangeable where possible and there was a generous provision of access hatches in the fuselage.

The Hawker Hunter was a British jet fighter developed during the late 1940s and its prototype, the P.1067, was flown in July 1951. Succeeding first-generation jet fighters such as the Meteor and Venom, the first single-seat Hunter interceptor variant was introduced to RAF service in 1954. During the 1960s dedicated variants of the Hunter evolved, to be used for fighter-bomber and reconnaissance roles.

The definitive version was the FGA.9 (128 a/c converted from F Mk.6s), on which the majority of export versions were based, and saw front line use from 1960 to 1971. Hunter Mk.6As were upgraded F Mk.6s (24 a/c to FGA Mk.9 standard) serving as training aeroplanes from the early 1970s until 1984.

It was a single-seat swept wing all-metal monoplane aircraft powered by a R-R Avon turbojet. It featured two wing-root intakes, single jet pipe, aft sliding canopy, ejection seat and tail-mounted brake parachute. The Hunters were armed with four Aden cannons in a removable weapons pack in the fuselage underside, while a variety of external stores could be mounted beneath the wings, e.g. 500lb or 1,000lb bombs, launchers for 3" RP and/or drop tanks.

The Hunter was one of the RAF’s mainstays from the mid-1950s through the sixties. It became a popular machine in foreign service, being exported to many countries worldwide and flown with the air forces of no less than 20 nations.

We have featured 1/144 releases from FCM before, and here again we have the first in series of decal sets for the venerable Lockheed C-130 "Hercules". This first series provides stencils and marking for 4x different nationalities Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Oman, thereby providing alternative to US oriented decals that come with most C-130 kits from Minicraft and A-Model.  The quality of these screen printed decals is excellent (please don't let my photography fool you otherwise) and the placement sheets excellent, if your looking for a Latin American scheme then these are your babies!
