1/144 Avro Lincoln by Welsh Models

Here are the resin and metal constitute parts for the forthcoming Avro Type 694 Lincoln WWII heavy bomber Welsh Models intend to release in 1:144th scale .

Release Date: hopefully sometime before June 2022. 

Its made of both resin and metal parts as can be seen along with vac formed clear canopies. The flight deck is fully visible and detailed and the kit allows both Type 1, 2 and 31 versions to be made with two differing noses. The guns along with ammunition racks, seats etc are visible. 

The props and spinners are also made to allow for differing blade feathering. 

Both the RAF, RAAF and Argentine AF used these bombers. It was the last Piston engine bomber used by the RAF.

I stumbled across this kit whilst investigating the IL-12 release from A-Model.
I knew that some of the Il-2 kits below had been released, but had not encountered the kit(s) from Eastern Express.

These kits do not seem to readily available at the moment, i could only find
Avia press and Modelshop.sk that had them online, however other suppliers such as e-models and Hannants stock the remainder of the Eastern Express Range, so maybe these are new?

Also, released some Li-2s in 2007, these sometimes do appear on ebay, or can be traded on Airliner Modling forums. Interestingly the website shows these as 'Future' so maybe they are planned for reissue 'some time'

1/144 Canadair CP-107 Argus - Welsh Models

Welsh Models have built a reputation for high quality and unusual VAC-FORM kits.
These kits ranged from simple conversions (two seat hunter), corrections to plastic kits (Electra) to full kits or unusual military or civil aircraft. (well, i say unusual..., but, I mean the items that Revell etc will never produce!)

In response to success/demand, Welsh Models have moved into Mixed Media kits including resin or pressure molding (like Oz Mods) into their range to make them more accessible and less scary. Now, Welsh Models have begun to issue selected kits as full resin kit (+metal fittings)

One of the first and finest looking of these is the Canadair CP-107 Argus available as the Mk.1 or Mk.2. I think this is an interesting development and look forward to more resin and mixed media kits from this supplier. Decals are supplied with the kit.
