For the next in the series of posts featuring Peters Planes Kits, this week its Conversions! The ideal way to get some extra variety into your collection without purchasing a whole new kit (even if they exist!?).  So, dust off some if your surplus gashopon and perform some updates....

• Conversion set for F-toys Ju 88A to a Ju 188. Includes new crew nacelle and vacform glazing as well as extended wing tips x2 and replacement square tail. 

• Conversion set for F-Toys Dornier 217E to either 217K (BMW 801 engines) or 217M (Db603 engines). Also allows conversion to 217N or 217J night fighters. 

• Balloon Cutter to fit F-Toys Ju88A.Laser-cut card parts to glue onto model to convert it into a Battle of Britain aircraft with a Balloon Cutter

• German Fug212 and Fug220 SN2 radar made from laser-cut card.

1/144 JU-88 Mistel Kit G-1 for FW-190

1/144 JU-88 G-1 Mistel Kit for FW-190 (Ref# P-90002)

Although being sold by ekidult on Ebay, there is a suspicion that these is this is a form of releasing the Aviation Model Mistel as it shares the same reference serial as the AM FW-190?

The kit com with enough components to build a complete aircraft with a number of options based substitution of the aircraft nose.

Without doubt you will be able to build the JU-88 G-1 version with BMW201 (as supplied)

The kit however is an nice looking and is well formed. It will look good when completed and an interesting subject for a diorama or shelf display.

Whilst intended for a Fw-190 (not supplied) you maybe be able to adapt for others?

It comes with a range of nose (2x warheads and 1x cockpit), so you will have some spare parts........

Based upon the input from Petersplanes on KG144 BBS if you buy some additional F-Toys Ju-88's you can build arange of Mistels - I recommend looking at John's Mistel Site for options?

1/144 JU-88 A-17/-11 (A-4/Trop) - Foxone

As previously discussed Foxone are expanding thier JU-88 range with a number of varients in the Ju 88 series.

As the design of the Foxone kits is undertaken using 3D CAD design it means that revisions to the original kit can be seemlessly and quickly integrated.

Therefore I cant add to much beyond what I have previously written on this subject, but this release does provide an interesting an unusal anti-ship aircraft varient, including Torpedo and loading trolley/dolley.

The other interest item of not is the decals, no longer do you need to be an airbrush ninja to create stunning squiggle/wave pattern. This kits comes with some interesting white decals that enable you to do this relatively easily and quickly! It also comes with marking for two aircrat.

1/144 Ju88A-17/A-4Trop by Foxone

Foxone is continuing with his series of Ju-88 kits for the Expert builder.

This time Foxone is adapting the A-4 into the A-17 Version with Tropical options pack, also a Torpedo dolley and muntions options pack.

The updates to the original kit can be seen in the CAD drawing above, whereby changes to the fuselage and engine exhausts can be seen.

No word on availbility as yet.

It is not clear currently if this will be offered as a new complete kit or and upgrade kit?
The design of the original A-4 kit would allow for parts to be swapped out, such a #3 (Lower fuselage, and others such as engine exhausts? Other parts would additonal?)

1/144 JU-88 A4 by Foxone

Over a year in design, Foxone has released his latest and largest kit to-date.
It is is alsp probably the most detailed and complex kit produced by Foxone with over 100 parts! Experience of the previous kits indicate that this will be very challenging.

All that said it is a very well reasearched and accurate kit, if you perservere should be a rewarding result.
