UPD: Decal was reborn - now this is silkscreen print. And available for orders!

Well, after all, I roll out new decal. This for V-Bombers fans. Almost all 1/144 kits of Valiant, Vulcan, Victor were released without Anti-flash markings. But now, this problem solved.

The Vickers VC10 Airliner was designed in the late 1950's and its first flight was on the 29th June 1962.The aircraft was designed for long haul and transatlantic flights and was capable of Hot & High operations on the African routes It held several sub-sonic speed records on the Transatlantic routes only beaten by Concord. The VC10 was held in very high regard by both Crew and the passengers who flew on it.

The other airframes gained a perhaps less glamorous, but nevertheless a very important role - the Royal Air Force's Avro Vulcan strategic bombers needed air refueling when conducting long distance missions, and the VC10 was very suitable for this role, especially considering its high speed and impressive endurance. In the late 1970s, tankers of the C Mk 1 Ks and K3 modifications entered into service with the Royal Air Force, and in the early 1990s, immediately after Operation Desert Storm and the withdrawal of the Handley Page Victor refueler from structure of the Air Force, for the role of air tanker five former passenger VC10s were converted, and designated the K4. Compared with their predecessor the K3, as well as in the K2 version, the fuselage fuel tanks were absent. Visually, the K4 differed from the K3 in lacking the broad side door in the front part of the fuselage due to
having no need to replace the fuselage’s fuel tanks. Overall, the conversion to the K4 variant was undertaken on five former passenger airliners.

In 1942, Britain's Vickers company began developing plans for a giant heavy bomber with which to carry large bomb loads into the heart of Nazi Germany. Several variations of this six-engine behemoth were developed, the "Type C" perhaps being the most radical.

 It was distinguished by its massively long wings, each tipped with its own tail/rudder. It also featured a large foreplane that provided frontal lift and allowed for low landing speeds. Because it had no tailplane, the wings were shifted back towards the aircraft's center-of-gravity, which would have made the installation of jet engines extremely easy.

Development of the Vickers Type C would have no doubt taken years, meaning the plane would likely not have seen service before the war's end in May 1945.

Having previously provided a 1/144 Project 865 Piranha Soviet Prototype Submarine and a 1/144 YAK UT-1 (pack of 3), Mikro-Mir look set to produce another classic V-bomber. If this kits follows the trend of thier other items it should largely be a resin based kit with possobily some photo etching, previous decals have not been that great (so let see if these improve on them).

The Vickers Windsor is an interesting technological development resulting in a number of prototypes being produced, but ultimately upgrades to the Lancaster proved more cost effective. Nice subject and hopefully will have some interesting bonuses - Vickers Type 432,Martin Baker MB 5? A Vickers Victory would make a good future Anigrand 'Huge Bird' release!

The Boeing B-17B/C/D is a strange choice, will this be a 3 in 1 series, or just the one with parts for 3 options? If the latter, then this is going to be a small kit and maybe some more impressive bonuses?

The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine, long range medium bomber designed in the mid-1930s at Brooklands in Weybridge, Surrey, by Vickers-Armstrongs' Chief Designer, R. K. Pierson. It was widely used as a night bomber in the early years of the Second World War, before being displaced as a bomber by the larger four-engine "heavies" such as the Avro Lancaster. The Wellington continued to serve throughout the war in other duties, particularly as an anti-submarine aircraft. It was the only British bomber to be produced for the entire duration of the war.

The only problem for the avid collector is that it appears in the same markings as the IXO/ALTAYA Wellington of Coastal Command ( see here ), with the exception of a Polish insignia (as seen above)
