1/144 Yak-1 (2 kits in 1) from Northstar

1/144 Yak-1 (2 kits in 1) from Northstar
At this stage, I am not sure what decals etc will be available, but the box indicates 4 schemes. (to be confirmed)

The Yakovlev Yak-1 (Russian: Яковлев Як-1) was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft. Production began in early 1940. It was a single-seat monoplane with a composite structure and wooden wings.

The Yak-1 was manoeuvrable, fast and well armed, and it was easy to maintain and reliable. It formed an excellent basis for subsequent developments from the Yakovlev bureau. It was the founder of a family of aircraft, with some 37,000 being built (Soviet naming conventions obscure the fact that the Yak-1 and its successors — the Yak-7, Yak-9 and Yak-3 — are essentially the same design)

Expected release date : "soon" June-July 2017

Are you the only person outside of Japan with the *Triple Nuts MiG-29 kit and are missing some missiles? Shelf Oddity comes to the rescue!

There are 6 different Soviet/Russian missiles sets in the catalogue. One of them is quite universal - R-13M which is an exact copy of early AIM-9 Sidewinder - double markings included.Attack aviation fans can check out the AGM-65 Maverick set too!

Each set contains 2 missile bodies made of turned brass, PE fret with missile fins and a decal sheet with different markings (in few cases - a lot of them!).

There are mounting holes pre-drilled in each missile body allowing for quick positioning of PE fins. Each fin is equipped with one or two mounting pins which apart from easy positioning allow for stronger joint.

1/144 Lisunov Li-2 by Eastern Express

1/144 Lisunov Li-2 by Eastern Express
I stumbled across this kit whilst investigating the IL-12 release from A-Model.
I knew that some of the Il-2 kits below had been released, but had not encountered the kit(s) from Eastern Express.

http://www.ee-models.ru/eng/index.html

These kits do not seem to readily available at the moment, i could only find
Avia press and Modelshop.sk that had them online, however other suppliers such as e-models and Hannants stock the remainder of the Eastern Express Range, so maybe these are new?

The Lisunov Li-2, originally designated PS-84 (NATO reporting name: Cab), was a license-built version of the Douglas DC-3. It was produced by the GAZ-84 works near Moscow, and subsequently at GAZ-34 in Tashkent

Avialble: Now (limited outlets)
Price: @ 28 USD / 17Euro

Welsh Models
Are planning to release a Lisunov Li - 2 (Dakota) in USSR Polar unit livery (others may follow?)
http://www.welshmodels.co.uk/news.html

Zvezda
There has been indication that a Li-2 maybe produced as part of the "Art of Tactic" war game system currently being manufactured by Zvezda.

CMR Resin (Czechmaster Resin)
Also, released some Li-2s in 2007, these sometimes do appear on ebay, or can be traded on Airliner Modling forums. Interestingly the website shows these as 'Future' so maybe they are planned for reissue 'some time'
