I am waiting for a bit more information on this one branded as DeAgostini (aka Amercom/Altaya) it has a whole array of Soviet and Russian aircraft I've never seen before even close to scale. I have highlighted the 1/144 known to-date and the 'close enough 1/150' scale items, there may be more in the unreleased items!

Already appearing on eBay.Ru, I'd imagine more should be out there if you look!?

The new 1/144 release from Amercon, the French Marcel Bloch MB.210, First flew in 1934 and was introduced into French Service in 1936 seeing action in WWII initially under French control, subsequently with the Germans and retried in 1945. The aircraft also saw service with other European forces.

The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine, long range medium bomber designed in the mid-1930s at Brooklands in Weybridge, Surrey, by Vickers-Armstrongs' Chief Designer, R. K. Pierson. It was widely used as a night bomber in the early years of the Second World War, before being displaced as a bomber by the larger four-engine "heavies" such as the Avro Lancaster. The Wellington continued to serve throughout the war in other duties, particularly as an anti-submarine aircraft. It was the only British bomber to be produced for the entire duration of the war.

The only problem for the avid collector is that it appears in the same markings as the IXO/ALTAYA Wellington of Coastal Command ( see here ), with the exception of a Polish insignia (as seen above)

Possible the most famous and recognisable aircraft to come out of Lockheed's Skunk works'!?

This was one of the first aircraft I had a poster of on my wall as a young boy, that and the cockpit of Concorde!

Amercom's next magazine tie up on the subject of the Avro Lancaster will come with an interesting version of the Lancaster. The Lancaster B. MK.I (special?) one of the variants used by 617 Squadron also known as the "Dambuster's", so it will be interesting to see if this version comes with the "bouncing bomb" or the "Tallboy" bomb? The removal of the mid turret and the fairing of the forward gun turret would infer that it should be the "Tallboy" option?
