This a 1/144 complete resin kit of the projected DARPA Space Cruiser, a proposed deniable weapon developed from the 1970s Early Spring project. Designed to be carried inside the Space Shuttle bay (up to three at a time), this small manned craft would inspect and destroy Soviet spy or weapon satellites that posed a threat to the USA. This kit is very small, measuring less than 6cm, consisting of just five parts. Suggested paint finish is overall black with a gold canopy, no decals (its deniable, so don't put stars and bars on it!). Limited availability.

A new(ish) saucer in 1/144! For those of you into old Sci-Fi movies, UFO, or just fancy to lineup against your Anigrand Hanebau, Atlantis TR-2/Bernalillo or Area-51 from Pegasus this could be the thing for you!?

Polar Lights have issued a plastic injection kit of the C-57D from the old "Forbidden Planet" classic movie (which is arguably based on Shakespeare's play The tempest').  I don't think you get the "Robbie the Robot" in this kit :(

When someone says the words "science fiction" nothing comes to mind quicker than a flying saucer. The most famous flying saucer in history was the iconic vessel featured in Forbidden Planet, the C-57D. The ship is offered for the first time in a medium scale model kit. At 12" wide, it is a perfect size to fit on any book shelf. The ship can be built in a flying or in a landed position. The lower dome comes injected in clear plastic to show off the inner engine detail.

Interestingly, a search on YouTube reveals people have already customised their C-57Ds with automated legs, lighting systems and even a rotating engine ring!

A small range of resin kits has emerged from the Czech Republic from a company called aRRa models, currently focused on Rockets and Space it provides a couple of interesting options. It is not clearer at this stage if this is a limited production run, or whether we can expect to see more items.

The Vostok-1 is an interesting Soviet Space module, and of course equally needing no introduction the V-2 Rocket, handy for those not finding a Takara V-2 model.

The Mars Gravity Probe 1 (MGP-1) was the ill-fated manned interplanetary spacecraft that brought American astronauts Cmdr. Christopher "Kit" Draper (Paul Mantee) and Col. Dan McReady (Adam West) to the Red Planet in the 1964 sci-fi classic "Robinson Crusoe on Mars."

MGP-1 was an important step in cinematic spacecraft design as it was one of the first to incorporate design elements from actual NASA spacecraft then under development. These included four-nozzle Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters, external fuel tanks and landing craft clear based on Project Gemini capsules.

1/144 Thunderbird 1 - Aoshima (re-issue)
Aoshima are to re-issue their classic kit of Thunderbird 1 (original version), its quite a bird at @260mm.
It can be build legs up or down, and the wings are movable to provide the variable geometry, the various build threads indicate that the panel lines and detailing is nice and fine and in proportion. Interestingly, a number of different versions of the TB1 were used in the original Gerry Anderson productions ranging from a Shiny TB1 in Series 1, to the more dull matt version used subsequently. In addition, there were differences in the the actual detailing of the design, it is widely held that the Aoshima takes the best bits of all of those design to make this the most interesting to build and display whilst retaining the look and feel of the originals.
