About the Design
The "War Rocket" was the ultimate weapon in the arsenal of Ming the Merciless, Emperor of the Planet Mongo, in the 1980 version of Alex Raymond's "Flash Gordon."
In fact, apparently the only battle rocket in Ming's arsenal (We never see another in the entire movie), the massive, Art Deco-styled battlewagon is eventually hijacked by the film's eponymous hero, who then proceeds to crash it into the emperor's palace, skewering Ming with its needle nose in the process.
