Its been a slow "news" week this week with not a lot to tell or show!
It also doesnt help that my camera went funny and deleted the memory card :(

I will posting some entires with some items off interest and some models I have been working on!

sadly, the "maus" model from Dragon shown above is a 1/72 item ..... maybe one day they will do another batch of 1/144 maus? Although I think that Dragon is stretching the truth with the item shown above as I have never seen this in photographs???? have you!?

1/144 Blitzkrieg

Here is a little scene with some items I am working on, this contains a mix of various 1/144 early war period tanks from various manfactuers.....

1. Prohobby** Panzer I (Radio/Command Tank) Resin Kit (i lost the front aerial so had to improvise with a photo-etched part instead1).

2. Dragon Panzer Korps Pz38(t) - Plastic Kit (the plastic aerial is replace with wire).
3. Dragon Panzer Korps Pz38(t) - Plastic Kit (the plastic aerial is replace with wire).

4. PropHobby Panzer II (Ausf B.) - Resin Kit (note the extra detail and proportions comapared to #5).

5. Dragon Panzer Korps Panzer II (Ausf B.) - Plastic Kit.

6. I know what this is do you? - i will leave this as a surprise..... for now


I am still working on these and a number of other items in this area.

I will do a comparison of Prohobby - Dragon - WTM - POPY panzers very soon!
I will also reveal the mystery item no. 6
I may even do a comparison report on the merits of the different manufactuered versions.

The interesting aspect of this series is many are properly "weathered & worn" giving the models extra life and spirit!?

( some will love this feature - others will hate it - how would you like it on your tanks!!)

There also seems to be a method of automating the propellers -

Takara + Tomy = TAKARATOMY !

It appears Takara and Tomy have merged to form one company.

Let us hope Takara products become available to the extent Tomy products are outside Japan.
It is interesting to note that one of the reasons for the merger is consolidation of players in the Japanese market due to declining birthrates....

Lets all hope they use Tomy global distribution netork to sell more Takara products out side of Japan!
