this is a start to more reboxes with different decals...maybe we still have pacific versions box and mediterranean ...
I hope Sweet don´t make the release of Fw-190D9... and bring to us a unreleased plane...it´s time to someone release a decent Spitfire( so many boxes and versions)or P-40E
...if they wanted make a Fw-190.. the version could be the A-4 ,A-5 versions used by JG54 with nice camouflage in Russia

I agree with Robert's views re: a decent Spitfire. Perhaps Sweet could do what they have done with the Hurricane and include such options as the two-bladed pre-war Spitty.

As for Sweet's approach to the P-51B/C, it is interesting that they have gone straight to captured versions, yet a wealth of RAF, RAAF, RNZAF options go begging, at least for the present. Admittedly, there are third party decal options about (e.g. for RAAF, check out Novodecals on eBay). The German P-51B probably reflects that neverending desire for all things Luftwaffe (including Luft 46) ... even the Allied aircraft have crosses and swastikas!

On an entirely different matter, has anyone got info about Kami De Koro Koro, a so-called Japanese "garage" manufacturer of 1/144 scale resin kits? I have noticed several items up for auction in the Radjapan Store entry on eBay (radsan777). Apart from Japanese aircraft like the Me163 lookalike J8M1 Shusui and the Me262 spinoff Najajima Kikka, KDKK also manufacture kits of the Polikarpov I-16 Rata in various guises, a Dewoitine D510 and a Fokker D-21.

As an indication, the KDKK version of the Brewster Buffalo (which, from the photo on radsan777's advert, is considerably more detailed than the Airalex item) sold for just under $AUS40 (about $US32 or 15 GBP). However, the KDKK website lists the kits at 1575 yen, which is around $AUS16!

The KDKK website (almost entirely in Japanese) is at http://www.ne.jp/asahi/kamikoro/top/top.html.

Cheers from Down Under!

KDKK is one of the "garage kit" manufactures.

I have made some of these kits in the past and had ordered some of the recent batch from HLJ (they still have some left.

I have posted these previosuly on the blog, an IL-2 and a Zis-3. I also put a post or two on the Yahoo "Small Scale Model" forum.

The recents kits are still pretty good, although i think the moulds are tired as there is quite a lot of flash compared to the kits i received a year or two back.

they is a japanese site that seels them as well as hlj, but mainly they have been made available at model shows, such as the P144 or shizouka type shows.

i could be wrong, but i dont think the guy is one of the main Project 144 Collective/community so it make them a little harder to get hold of.

and as you say, it is time for a spitfire! and sweet or platz would make a vey nice kit.

a sweet double pack would be cool, either early/late versions - and/or a palstiv vs see trhough version?

oh, forgot, they are better on the whole than the airalex kits.
