1/144 Orlyonok Lun - By Anigrand!

1/144 Orlyonok Lun "Caspian Sea Monster" - By Anigrand!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
.

What a monster! - thats correct the "Caspian Sea Monster"!!!

(plus bonus kits, 1/144 Yak-36, Yak-38, Yak-141)
Expected Date: April 2008
.
.
In the USSR the WIG ("wing in ground effect") developments took place at the Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau (CHDB), lead by Alexeiev. The military potential for such a craft was soon recognised and Alexeiev received personal support from Kruchev including virtually unlimited financial resources.
.
This very important development in WIG history lead to the Caspian Sea Monster, v a 550 ton military ekranoplan, only a few years after this top secret project was initiated. The first ekranoplan as we know it now, the SM-2P, was built in 1962. Another feature found in most later ekranoplans were the jets that were blowing under the wing to assist at take-off.

1/144 F-Toys J7W1( j ) By Roberto

1/144 F-Toys J7W1( j ) By Roberto
---------------------------------------
Another excellent example of Roberto skill with the airbrush!
Here one of the F-Toys kits has nicely been repainted in Lufwaffe "splinter" pattern camoflauge, and dare I say it this is a much improved version of the POPY Project Flieger special Item.
it is only 1/144, but i think the effort and the detailing in the paint work could quite easily lead people to belive that this was a larger scale item?
Those of you who wish to find out more about reusing gashopon for there own proejcts should look at the articales below!
apparently the paint on these F-toys kits comes off easy with "Rubbing Alcohol" (isopropyl), unlike some of the previous series!

1/144 Big Bird Vol.3 - Cafe Reo
---------------------------------
http://www.cafereo.co.jp/bigbird3.htm
Available March 2008
.
There currenly appears to be 3 main aircraft available, with 2 colour schemes and a "secret" scheme making 9 in total.... not sure if there will be a surprise aircraft or a side release to this as at the show last year when these where shown as prototypes where was a single engined aircraft! - or, waybe that points the way to another future Cafe Reo release? (lets hope so!)
.
KI-21 "Sally" interestingly one of these versions has two types of tail markings, probably via a change of decals, but already effectively means there is is another varient for the enthusiast!
