Damn. And I just bought a bunch of F-Toys releases. Guess I'll just use those to practice painting!

I think I'll buy one and justify it by doing it in a what it scheme. Awesome.

don''t forget that Pit-Road will also be releasing a 1/144 Eurofighter kit later this year!!

The Revell one will probably pants the Pit Road one. PR make decent enough kits but they are engineered to be snap fit for the pre-painted collectable scene and can't compare to a proper model IMO.

I'll probably do one in an RAAF scheme too for the heck of it.

Bruce,

If you haven't checked out Pit-Road's Draken kits, you might want to pick one up. It's an amazingly detailed kit and will give even the best Revell kit a decent challenge. I rate it right up there with the best of what Sweet has put out. Granted, it's snap-fit, but you can snip those pegs right off and turn it back into a proper kit in no time. These are about 50 times better than their F-35 kits, which were somewhat disappointing to say the least.

The fit on the Draken kits is great (once the snapfit pegs are removed), decals are very nice, and accuracy and detail are right up there with Sweet & even the Takara F-15 kits. Their only drawback is the extreme price for a dual kit. It'll set you back about 2200yen. That's still 1/3 of the price of the only other game in town, which is Miniwing's outstanding resin kit. Cafereo's Area88 Draken was just awful, so I don't even bother counting that as a kit. Besides, they've OOP for several years.

I think Pit-Road is improving and will hopefully continue to offer new and subject matter which hasn't been beaten to death.

Yes,the j-35 of Pit road is very nice... same level of Platz and Revell kits.. the only thing to be improved is canopy .
the decals options are great.
They could make a Viggen... : )
or a Super Etandart

I found the only disappoint think on pit road draken are decals! They are printed with dithering and not plain flat colour!
It's a pity otherwise the kit is excellent!!
Decal producers, please do something!!!
