1/144 Mini Diorama "Tarmac Airfield " - from CGD .

This is an 1:144 Mini Diorama "Tarmac Airfield " from CGD .
This set contains one "Tarmac Airfield " diorama base
(painted)

4x Colour Options (Winter,Desert,Autumn or Summer)

2x Design options (Regular, or 'Bombed' ( I think 'Shelled' woudl be more accurate?))
Whilst i appreciate the need to add interest and avoid uniformity, I am not sure i like the 'light' coloured squares....

I would however seriously consider purchasing this, as it would be a nice display board for a couple fo fighters or a bomber!?
Diorama measures approximately 11" X 7.375 " (27.9cm X 18.7cm). A perfect display base for you collection of 1:144 airplanes and vehicles. Also suitable for N scale or 12mm scale vehicles and soldiers. (Vehicles not included.) Individually casted in resin, hand painted to the finest detail. Made in Hong Kong.

You can always special order those without the light squares. Save some painting procedures. :)

And regarding the placement of shell holes, we have to allow enough "flat" space for free placement of planes. After all, the diorama is to made the planes look good.

Interesting, and for those without time or the experience and materials, its a neat way to a diorama. It is a bit bland though and really would be just a starting point. The shell holes just look too neatly gathered, They really look more like fox-holes, and would be great dio with 12mm marines in each of them and lots of Japan AF plane debris strewn about.

The JF17 will be a easy scratchbuild if it does look that way. A F18 Hornet (early version) nose and a F16 rear half. Thanks for the pointer.
