Yes,lets see if the makers check the polls and bring some of most wanted items...
This way they can avoid releasing mistakes or repeated itens and maintain the sales high .
I believe the market is now satured of Zeros,Me-109Fs,Fw-190D9s,F-15s,F-14s,Ah-64s....
Releasing classics warbirds like P-39,P-40,spits,corsairs....or jets like F-100,F-101A,Sea Vixen,Vampires,Mirages,Harriers Gr3,Super etandart.... of course ..there are resin garage kits..but at very high prices in e-bay .... they can make more interessant to collect 1/144... is just see the 1/32 boom of 21st century toys... they have mc202,corsairs,P-40B/C,Zeros,hellcats...at very nice prices and think..when we passed about 20~30 years hunting old Revell kits...paying high prices or trying rebuild old kits...

I hope that people and manufactures check the site and the polls!

in the last year that there has been some correlation between suggestions for polls and actual releases! whether this is coincidence, inspiration or direct action - i suppose we may never know?

That said, SWEET obviously think there is endless demand for Zeros!

;o) :(

I wonder if Sweet is going to release antyhing other than zeros or 109s in 2009? They're only up to Model32, so they have more variants to go through. I'd actually welcome a new 109 at this point!

Seriously, I never thought I'd pass up on a Sweet release, but if they keep pressing zeros, I'll have to look the other way. Come to think of it, they might as well just put out a Val because apparently that hasn't been covered enough. Wait, I would actually buy more Vals with all the Myk decals out there!

They had planned a Zero 52 ..and I like the P-51B...
When they could do superb kit of Ki-61 or Ki-84(yes we have the Ls) but Hayate have nice painting versions Brown,green,silver...and colorfull tails
But lack of Spitfire ..even after the Ike´s joke (the Bitter kit)is unbelivable...
Platz are doing better with versions of same plane... with P-47D and B (a smart move)... and we could dream with a Fw-190A8 ? (since we had the same wings, landing gears, canopy, wheels, profundors of Fw-190D9 ?)

..it is a shame, as sweet do nice kits.

that said, obviously the zeros must sell well in Japan - or else they wouldn't keep releasing them!?

Roberto and Martin,

Couldn't agree more on the Zero front. If Sweet need to do something Japanese, the 3 H's - Hien, Hayate and Hayabusa - would be options. And if we must have another 109, I'd be happy with a B or C variant - good Spanish Civil War options here.

But indeed, what about a Spitfire - Sweet, Platz, Eduard, anyone? Pleeeeez?

We all want a spitty and yet, I find it amazing that the big model companies have neglected it for so long. Was the Spitfire not one of the most important fighters of WWII? Isn't it widely recognized as one of the most beautiful planes of all time? And still, it has received so little "proper" attention from the big companies. In the last 15 years, I think that only Bandai actually worked out a new mold, even if it was somewhat disappointing. Everyone else just recyled the same simplistic 20+ year old mold. Even a short run resin would be welcome at this point.

Why are the big boys so reluctant to release a Spitfire? Seriously, it can't be the difficulty factor or lack of schematics and blue prints. Are they afraid it won't turn out a profit? Do they not realize know how many kits we'd buy if they just put out something accurate? Makes me wonder about the people working in their product research and sales dept. The damand is out there and they keep missing the target. So far, only Anigrand has impressed me with their amazing turnout rate, even if the quality of their products has gone down a bit recently. Still, they're covering a wide range and have my complete attention!

Although some would argue about the spitfire being the most important fighter.... it is certainly one of the most iconic and influential from a cultural perspective!

afterall, every little boy wanted to be a spitfire pilot not a hurricane pilot!?

anigrands production is relentless, although not even they have produced a spit!
